This ‘G2 Refresher' course refreshes the skills and knowledge you already hold in carrying out the risk management process in the Coal and Metalliferous mining industries. This competency is a statutory requirement according to mining legislation for certain occupational categories as deemed by the respective Mining Safety and Health Advisory Committees.

Please note: Being a refresher program, you must already hold the relevant unit of competency, and you must upload this prerequisite to the online learning platform at time of commencement. You will be unable to proceed with your program until these have been verified.

Upon completion of the training, you will have refreshed the essential skills and knowledge to carry out the risk management process as detailed in the Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act and Coal Mining Safety and Health Act.

Course Duration/Schedule

The learning material for this course is 100% online so you may go at your own pace. The typical duration is 6-8 hours. How long the program takes to complete is up to you, and you have a 12 month enrolment period. At 12 months, your enrolment will automatically expire, and you will have the option to extend your enrolment (fees apply).
