Our nationally recognised Chief Warden course equips participants with the leadership skills required to act in the role of Chief Warden during a workplace fire event or other incident. It covers how to make decisions about people’s safety during a workplace emergency and trains participants in how to give instructions for responding to the emergency incident.

The key areas covered by this course include:

Preparing for workplace emergencies
Communicating, controlling and coordinating workplace emergency procedures
Controlling the response to emergency reports, signals and warnings
Coordinating reports and results of the initial emergency response
Concluding an incident

Prerequisites you must supply before your course

To successfully enrol into this course each participant must submit a copy of their completed Statement of Attainment showing the unit of competency: PUAFER005 - Operate as part of an emergency control organisation (commonly known as Fire Warden).

The above prerequisite must be uploaded to your online learning platform. Access to the full course curriculum and assessment tasks will not be granted until the prerequisite is provided. Once you have submitted your prerequisite we will release access to your course within one business day of the document being submitted.
