COURSE DETAILS:

This 1-day Mining Induction Refresher Course (Standard 11 Compliant) provides experienced workers with a pathway to continue employment in the mining industry in Australia.

This course refreshes and enhances the essential skills and knowledge needed for individuals in the mining industry. It ensures participants stay current with safety protocols, operational best practices, and regulatory requirements. By revisiting key concepts and addressing updates to industry standards, the course helps create a safer and more efficient work environment.

Course Validity and Refreshers

The refresher period for the Mining Induction course is five years. This means individuals can refresh their induction, at the discretion of mining companies, within a five year period.

Each participant MUST:

To enrol in this course, each participant must submit evidence of having obtained the following units of competency:
  • RIIWHS201E - Work safely and follow WHS policies and procedures
  • RIIERR205D - Apply initial response first aid
  • RIIGOV201E - Comply with site work processes/procedures
  • RIIRIS201E - Conduct local risk control
  • RIICOM201E - Communicate in the workplace
  • RIIERR302E - Respond to local emergencies and incidents
Passport Photo

In order to produce your Mining Induction photo ID card upon successful completion of training, we require a passport like profile photo. The photo must be a 'head and shoulders' photo (looking at the camera, standing against a plain white background, no sunglasses or hat).

A copy of your profile photo and your previously attained certification must be emailed to: rto@pinnaclesafety.com.au prior to the course commencing.

Please note: A copy of your Drivers Licence or other ID card will not be sufficient.

Clothing & Footwear


As this program exposes participants to live fire exercises, participants are asked to wear long sleeves, long pants (natural fibres only) and closed footwear or safety boots.
