The Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety is designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge required to contribute to safe work practices and support the implementation of WHS systems within the workplace. This nationally recognised qualification is ideal for individuals who take on WHS responsibilities in addition to their main duties or who aspire to formal WHS roles.
NB: While there are no prerequisites for this course, good language and literacy skills, as well as strong computer skills are needed to complete the course in the required timeframe. You will be required to complete an electronic survey prior to the course detailing your work health and safety experience, and how you learn and react in accelerated learning environments. The link to this survey will be supplied in your booking confirmation email. In addition, you will be enrolled in and required to undertake an online Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy assessment via our online learning platform.
This qualification is suited to supervisors, safety officers, team leaders, or workers with a strong interest in promoting safe work environments. Upon completion, graduates will have the foundation needed to pursue further studies in WHS or take on more specialised safety responsibilities within their organisation.
